Pause

As my father’s eleven year anniversary approaches this week, I’ve decided to pause until next week for a necessary mental health break.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read so far. And to those who have communicated their enjoyment via comments. I appreciate this immensely. If you write you know that getting the words down is only half the story. In my opinion, finding people who jive with your work is the other.

Reading is personal. Literary tastes differ. When a reader gets what I’m saying I see it as unspoken communication between myself and that person. Communication that understands. Sees. Feels. Acknowledges a connection however brief. To me, there is no greater gift.

Have a great week. See you on July 5th.

Take good care of yourselves.

  1. Hope you had a good anniversary for your Dad. I only realised how important it is to take time out/off for them after many years. Life goes fast, too fast, and the important people to us is what we need to cherish more – even when they’re gone.
Lovely writing – keep up the good work! Thank you Deaborah.

    1. Thank you Denise. This year was tough but it’s all part of the grieving process I suppose. You are absolutely right. Life goes so fast (and seems to be speeding up with each passing year) and before you know it, a parent you love dearly is gone. I appreciate your thoughts. And thanks too about the writing.
I hope you are well and doing what you love.
      Take care.
