With a background in Advertising Design and Fine Art, Deborah has worked as an Artist in Schools, in Children’s Theatre as a playwright, director and set designer and as a mixed media artist, fiction writer and editor.
After the sudden death of Deborah’s father in 2011, Labello Press – Independent Publisher and personal memorial to him, was founded. The Press has run International Short Story Competitions and published three ‘Gem Street’ Anthologies. In 2021, they published the Invitational Anthology ‘9th Archipelago’. Deborah’s short story collections, ‘So Long Polyester’ and ‘At Love’s Altar’ were published in 2013 and 2020, respectively. Working as a self-taught jewellery artist for the past 30 years, Deborah has developed original and experimental processes and techniques used to build one-of-a-kind and limited edition Wearable Artefacts. Each component contained within these unusual compositions is crafted individually, with great care and attention to detail.
